Learn a Foreign Language Without Living Abroad!
Keep that in mind while you learn a foreign language! You are reading right now - and I wrote this text - because someone created those resources for us. Indeed, everything that exists in the natural world was firstly created in somebody’s mind. Then, as we’re starting together this journey, why don’t you do yourself a favor? Visualize yourself speaking Portuguese fluently (or any language you want). By mentally reaching your goal, you’re halfway through. In his book As a Man Thinketh , James Allen expressed this same truth in the following words: “He who cherishes a beautiful vision, a lofty ideal in his heart, will one day realize it. Columbus cherished a vision of another world and he discovered it. Copernicus fostered the vision of a multiplicity of worlds and a wider universe, and he revealed it. Buddha beheld the vision of a spiritual world of stainless beauty and perfect peace, and he entered into it.” Keeping the proper proportion, it was exactly what happened to me: after being encouraged by workmates, I believed that I would learn English. A year and a half later, I was already teaching for beginners. But I have another dream to make true: become the best provider of free resources for the Portuguese as a Second Language on the Web and, later, provide the same service to Brazilian teachers and learners of the English Language. If I have opportunities, I have also the responsibility to reach out the greatest number of people and share these tools. Do You REALLY Want to Learn a Foreign Language? It’s much better to learn these rules and play according to them. As an interpreter, I have witnessed several meetings between Brazilian and foreign managers.
